Ben is one of only 120 Approved Training Farriers (ATF) in Great Britain.
He believes that having apprentice farriers is important for a number of reasons. From a clients’ perspective, it helps to ensure a premium service, providing a higher level of cover, and allowing work to be carried out more efficiently in the yard – which is particularly useful when looking after bigger yards.
In addition, training continues to raise the quality of work carried out, and therefore, the calibre of the team, pushing the whole team to work better.
Having a larger team also allows more time for all members to go on courses to continue their professional development – whether an apprentice or qualified farrier.
For the apprentice themselves, it teaches them a profession that will support them for life, learning essential skills from the importance of working as part of a team to dealing with clients and providing a high level of service.
If you are interested in becoming an apprentice with us, please email your CV and covering letter to office@btbensonfarrier.com, or call Ben for more information.
